No. 1453_Forest, created in 2024, is a work of abstract squeegee technique.

Based on impasto mixtures applied with brushes, squeegees and spatulas, repeated scraping and countless layers of colour, an opulent, warm and nuanced monochrome brown tone was created. The entire spectrum of the secondary and tertiary colour groups with fiery tones of bright orange and green is recognisable and coherently and kaleidoscopically interwoven via a velvety soft, flowing colour gradient.

A lyrical network of overlapping trunks allows the gaze to wander through a diffuse, hazy light into the depths of the "forest". Fine, narrow vertical stripes of the impasto top layer of paint give the "woodland" a three-dimensional feel and enhance the impression of width and depth. Together with the harmonious, warm tones, the viewer is left with a feeling of well-being and inner tranquillity.
